So, yet another week has come and gone in the life of Elder Hansen.. and guess what... ANOTHER BAPTISM! wootness!!
Monday
Today was a pretty fun day. We went to Infanta, which is like a 2 hour bus ride away like way up in the mountians and stuff but then you come down into this beautiful valley thing and theres a sweet beach! We spent the day at the beach playing frizbee until the dang thing broke lol... Then we gathered rocks and tried to make a rock castle but it failed miserably haha.. But yeah after we got done hanging out at the beach we came back to siniloan, showered, then ate and now I am here in the comp shop typing to you haha :)...
(last) Tuesday
So last Tuesday was a good day as well! So last week in PEC meeting we cordinated a bunch of members to come work with us to help fellowship and stuff.. One lesson was particularly awesome!! So weve been teaching this lady Germa Alamo and she is a 49 yearold woman and we had 2 other relief societey ladies come with us to teach.. And wow, it was way cool! We shared with her the restoration (lesson 1) as a review and basically just let the 3 ladies talk! Haha she had a lot of questions and it was way cool to see members and missionaries work in harmony to teach sister Alamo. Sister Alamo now has 2 friends in the church and is that much more interested in listening to us. GO FELLOWSHIPPERS! After that we hit up a few more appointments. We gave sister Leah Dimaano a baptismal goal date so I hope she keeps progressing! Keep them in your prayers.
Wednesday:
Was district meeting! And I taught another workshop to my Zone Leaders and District Mates.. It was about choices, and how all of our choices in our life have repercussions. And how we as people and especially as missionaries leave 'ripples' in our areas that we work in. In other words, we leave a certian impression on everyone we meet. I shared also about how sometimes our choices can bind us and keep us from reaching our full potential.. And about how 'easy is enticing' and but how 'effort is empowering'. I told them that if they choose to work hard and make good choices now that, when the time comes, they wont be bound and that they will be able to life life on their own terms. It was sweet! :)... Anyways, after district meeting we honestly didnt have much success with our work, we decided to go to Longos and see some of our former investigators but only one of them let us return teaching them.. But its all good, we did our part.
Thursday
So in the mornig we decided to go to some of our former investigators to just see how they were doing. we were able to reach one but the others were busy with less important things than the gospel haha.. Then in the afternoon we headed to Longos again to give it another shot.. Andd this time we had a lot more success. We starte teaching the mother of one of our recent converts and she hadd a lot of questions and what not so we have high hopes for her. Then we just basically walked down the highway and started meeting people.. We got 5 new investigators! And we are way excited to start teaching them this week. So yeah that was pretty much my thursday.
Friday
In the morning was weekly planning and then the afternoon was Jun-Jun Calisura's baptismal interview! And I also had to go interview in the sisters area at the same time so I went on a split with the zone leaders in order to carryout all of the interviews at once.. So me and Elder Manlabe headed to the sister's apartment to go to the interview and they werent there, so we went to the chapel to see if they were there, but still they werent there.. So we ended up waiting outside their apartment for like an hour until finally they showed up. And when they got there they said that they cancelled all 3 interviews cuz their baptismal candidates couldnt pass the pre-interview. So we basically wasted like 3 hours of our lives for nothing lol.. But after that we finished out the day working with the sisters.. And the good news is that our baptismal candidate was the only one that passed his interview! woot! Go us! haha anyways
Saturday
So on saturday we had service at this big school place, we basically just did yard work all day and pulled weeds and stuff.. The school was huge and it was way far away.. Like 2 hours from our area but it was good to do some service there.. The service was all day and lasted until like 3 in the afternoon.. and when we got back I was sooo freaking tired so all we really did was just stop by our progressing investigators house an remind them to go to church.. But yeah, Thats pretty much my saturday.
Sunday
AHH I am running out of time.. were about to hit cerfew so Im gonna hurry this up..
We basically just went on splits with some of our ward missinoaries and we had a ton of success.. 8 lessons! woot!! Thats the sunday for you haha..
